The payments backend behind every proposal and programme
A Node and Express API deployed on Railway, with Stripe and Helcim endpoints for charging proposals and programmes.
The challenge
Charging clients in different countries, with different currencies and preferred methods, is not solved by a single gateway. And putting payment logic in the frontend would have exposed the keys.
What we did
We built a dedicated API in Node and Express on Railway, with endpoints for both gateways. The frontend never sees a key: it requests the charge, the backend executes it. Two gateways means picking the right one per market and currency.
